HAMELIN’S PIPER
Hamelin is a town in Germany. Once it was infested with rats. So, the people living in the town were in trouble. They wanted to get rid of that menace. Then an unknown piper came there. He met the Mayor and assured him to solve the problem. The Mayor promised him a good reward if he would succeed. The piper then started playing his pipe. The rats of the town started following him. The piper led them to the river. The rats were drowned. When the piper demanded the reward, the Mayor refused to give him any. Now the piper started playing another tune. This time all the children of the town started following him. The piper was going to drown them into the river. The Mayor became scared. He wanted to hand over the reward to the piper. But the piper did not listen to him. He continued his journey towards the river.
Moral:- One should keep one’s promise.
